My Pedagogical PageWhat do I believe? What is most important?
The students. I want them to be active participants in their own learning. To me, it's obvious. Each student is an individual. Just as I want to be treated as an individual, so do the students. If I could make personalized textbooks for each student, then I would! But, that's not realistic. Luckily, in this day and age, we have countless resources at our fingertips and we can tailor the education experience for each child. Do I do this for each assignment? assessment? No. But I certainly try to give each student at least one challenge question, and I keep in mind that each student finds different questions and even question types challenging. So what does this look like? Where have I found inspiration? Read more below (and follow the links!).

UDL examplesThis is a Google Doc that is used as a review day activity. Each student makes a copy and then can personalize this document. They can work at their own pace and can even search out more examples/resources and add them to their own document.
Sometimes I use this during stations so that I can work individually or in small groups with students (while the rest of the class is reviewing individually online).
